EarthBox Mulch Cover: B/W Reversible |
|
When used on the EarthBox, the mulch cover stops weeds and conserves water. There's no need for herbicides, and it protects growing environment from rain or drought. Once in use, these covers are good for an entire growing season. Two-sided for any climate--most climates will use the black side up, but if you live in a climate where you normally have sustained temperatures over 85 degrees during the peak of your growing season, we recommend using the white side up. Sold per cover; please see quantity discounts above.

Fit-ness |
| Yes, its true. The older Earth boxes do get a bit thicker through tthe middle as they age--just as I have! They, too, need only a tight belt to make things right.
Look at the box centers at the top, thread some wire across the middle and pull the old box back into shape. Ive been using my Earth Boxes for many years and prefer the drainage of the old ones. This simple fix is more than worth the effort. |

Covers not fitting properly on older boxes - easy fix |
| Its true that the older boxes tend to bow outward in the middle making the covers difficult. The easy fix is simply to use plastic wire ties through the holes across the center...tighten the belt a little and there you go...the box is straight and covers fit like a glove. |

FIT |
| Some of my Earthboxes are 10/12 years old.
They get wider in the middle as they age and the cover does not come down over the sides as it does with my newer boxes. |
